Expenses for Traci's courageous battle.

Let me tell you about this incredibly tough woman, Traci Sturgeon. After fighting cancer for years and going in and out of remission, Traci is facing the hardest fight of her life. Roughly 6 years ago, Traci was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer of plasma cells. She has battled this terminal disease and recently learned that after the cancer has progressed to a critical level. Traci is the mother of 3 amazing young ladies. Hanna (23), Emily (21), and AnMarie (18).
Traci has conquered tumors in multiple places of her body, but the cancer has spread to regions to include areas of her skull/face. Very specific chemo has been required to slow down and attack her cancer, but an even stronger treatment is now needed to save Traci's life. This treatment is referred to as Car-T Cell therapy that will modify her T-cells to attack the cancer. This is what the doctors have explained to be a last option, since other treatments have not been conclusively successful. This is life saving treatment for Traci.
The wonderful news is that Traci has been approved and granted the opportunity to obtain a highly sought after spot to receive this life saving treatment in Little Rock, Arkansas at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). Traci is set to go in February, just a couple weeks away. The difficult news, is that with a new year, comes a new insurance deductible. That cost alone is $4,200 and the family learned today that money is required before she can begin her life saving treatment in February. It is heart-stopping to consider that money can save your life or deny you time on earth. Aside from the deductible, medical expenses have piled up over the years and Traci's time is precious. Funds are needed for travel, lodging, daily expenses, and emergency flights if needed for her daughters.
If you can assist in any donation or sharing of this fundraiser for Traci, the level of gratitude and appreciation is beyond explanation. These funds go to Traci to give her peace-of-mind not to stress about these immediate monetary concerns, but to focus on healing and time remaining with family.
Cancer sucks.
