Medical Expenses Fundraiser for Maranda Brown

Maranda Brown is a loving wife and incredible mother to her two children and four bonus children. After returning from a family vacation in late March, she began feeling severely ill and after many tests they found a huge (over 5cm) tumor on her kidney. On April 2nd she was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma (kidney cancer). With her immune system compromised, two weeks later she received a positive Covid result which put getting surgery on hold. Maranda fought through the next few weeks, even with the fear that the tumor may grow during the surgery postponement. Finally on May 7th, 2021 she was able to have her surgery, where they took 30% of her kidney, and spent 4 days in the hospital. Just when we thought the worst was behind her, on May 27th they found blood clots in her arm from the surgery and now she has to be on blood thinners for 45 days. Her next cancer follow up will be September 15th, 2021 followed by 5 years of monitoring.

Maranda loves working in education but unfortunately has been out of work since all of this began. She's always been the first to offer a helping hand to others, but now it's her who needs some help. Her friends and family are rallying to ask for help to cover some current and upcoming medical bills. Anything helps and is appreciated.
