Let's Help Kai!!

Kai is a wonderful & caring father to his two children, Katie & Mitch. Mitch was born with autism. Kai had a lot on his plate working full time & also being the sole caregiver to his son. As we all know, Kai is always more concerned with how others are doing than he is about himself. 

Kai was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia called AML. On December 20th he went into the hospital to begin his treatment. He has not been home since. During his hospital stay Kai encountered a lot of complications including an infection in his brain as well as a stroke.  He was left without being able to talk much or swallow & now has a feeding tube. He has only been able to endure one round of chemo. He will need to get so much stronger before he can have another round.

His insurance pays for his medical care but it does not pay for his housing. He has been transferred to an adult care home/hospice facility. This home is expensive, and he needs help covering the cost. Kai desperately wants to be able to walk again but will need physical therapy. This too is very expensive! Due to Covid-19 he has not been able to have visitors.  He has not been able to see his son Mitch in 5 months.

Kai has given so much to Michael’s for the past 32 years. Please help us give back to him!! Every little bit helps.
