Memorial Fund for the family of Dave Sapp

Donation protected
It is with great sadness that we set up this fund at the loss of Dave - husband, father, friend, filmmaker - who leaves behind his wife and six children who love him and miss him dearly. Dave suffered throughout his life from mental illness. The deeply devastating and painful effects of it on a person and their family are very real. He committed suicide at our home on June 26, 2020. We will love and miss him forever but are grateful that he is no longer suffering. We know that he has been welcomed into God’s arms and given relief.

Because of Dave's mental illness and the psychosis he suffered, we are left with a year’s worth of his medical bills,  no life insurance, and a mortgage that we didn't know was a year behind. We have a surprise balloon mortgage payment due in two months and we desperately need help with this to save our home. My kids and I are now working and/or seeking full time employment asap, liquidating his assets, and will be able to afford our conservative monthly mortgage, but we can't possibly come up with the balloon payment, nor can we pay the thousands due for his medical bills.

We, his family, desperately need your help. Please donate what you can and share this with everyone you know. Our hearts are overflowing with gratitude for your love and generosity. You are truly God’s hands to us.

Some have asked for my Venmo instead: @Julie-Johnston-Sapp.  Thank you, friends.
