Medical Fund for Julie Foster
Donation protected
Julie is the type of person to drop what she's doing to support a friend in a time of need. Let's all show our support for Julie in her time of need, in the form of a donation to this Go Fund Me account!
As many of you now know, our friend Julie Foster of Fayetteville, Arkansas was very recently diagnosed with a glioma brian tumor. Due to the emergent nature of her diagnosis, Julie's neurosurgeon has scheduled surgery at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis for April 10th. Given the short time frame to not only process all of this life-changing information that is being thrown her way, Julie also needs to determine how to pay for her share of the surgery, post-surgery treatment, travel costs, and the travel costs and lodging for her four children – who all want to be there to support their mom during her fight to kick cancer's butt! It would be wonderful if everyone could make a donation today, as this campaign will not be running for long since Julie's surgery is only 11 days away.
Julie's surgery will require a craniotomy, and only after the extraction of the tumor will the doctors be able to diagnose the stage of her cancer and if cancer cells have spread outside of the main mass. This means that even after a successful surgery, Julie still might need chemotherapy and radiation treatment to kill the remaining cancer cells, which will require additional doctors visits. Unfortunately, that translates into additional travel costs and medical bills.
Julie is a woman of faith, a loving mother to four beautiful kids, and the first person to promote love and forgiveness over spite and revenge. A graduate of the University of Arkansas School of Law, Julie has spent the majority of her career at J.B. Hunt Transportation, Inc. When not at work or caring for her family, Julie can usually be spotted at a Fayetteville High Bulldogs game... you name the sport and she's usually there supporting her kids and their friends. If you would like to send her well wishes, here is a link to Julie's Facebook page:
