Update - Funeral Service Funds for Billy Gibbs

UPDATE - August 24, 2023 - If you are able & willing, ANYTHING at all helps towards a service for Billy ❤️ We are hoping to have everything set in stone for a service after Labor Day Weekend.

UPDATE - August 12, 2023 - Heartbroken to announce, Billy has gained his wings.

To know Billy, is to love Billy. ❤️

If you have ever traveled the streets of Manteo, or really probably anywhere on the Outer Banks, then I am almost 100% sure that you’ve had at least one encounter with Billy Gibbs. If you haven’t let me start by introducing him as the sweetest man on Earth, one who would give the shirt off his back in a heartbeat and make sure everyone has a plate or a seat at the table before him. Billy is one of those kind hearted people that don’t come around often, so when they do, you do everything in your power to NEVER let that person go.

Billy is a friend, he’s a lover, a father, a son, a caregiver, the most loyal person you’ll ever know but now most importantly… a fighter.

Within this last week, Billy has gotten the most gut wrenching news.. stage 4 cancer.

The stupid “C” word that we have allll grown to hate.

Billy needs us now more than ever. And I KNOW how much this little community rallies behind the ones we love. So please, if you have it in your heart, send up a prayer, give Billy a huge hug if you see him around town, keep this sweet man in your thoughts as he begins treatment next week & if you are in a situation where you can lend a helping hand, any donation towards medical bills, trips for treatment & living expenses for the time being would be so greatly appreciated.
