Medical funding for Jacinda

Hi, my name is Rachel, and I'm raising funding for my best friend of 25+ years, Jacinda, and her husband Jose. Jacinda and Jose were involved in a major car accident on August 18th, 2022. Jose sustained minor injuries and is healing well. Jacinda suffered a severe fracture of her cervical vertebrae (broken neck) that required an immediate cervical fusion that evening. She was hospitalized for eight days, 6 of which were in the Trauma ICU. She was then released to UT Southwestern's rehabilitation facility, which specializes in spinal cord injuries. The current plan of care is for her to be released back home (after 11 days there) to receive Home Health services for further progress until she can attend outpatient care. We are overjoyed that Jacinda and Jose survived this accident! Unfortunately, they still have a long journey ahead; with her injuries and continued medical needs, she cannot assist with their income for some time, not to mention the medical bills coming in. It would be a blessing if we could contribute to these needs as she heals and Jose takes care of everything else around the home and with their son.
