Medical Fundraiser for Kaiah Chargualaf

Hafa Adai Family and Friends, My name is Jeff Chargualaf and it is with heavy hearts that Joleen Taitano and I humbly ask for your assistance in getting our daughter, Kaiah Chargualaf, the medical assistance she needs.  The day after the typhoon, we drove Kaiah to see her primary pediatrician after noticing discoloration of her eyes. Dr. Garcia instructed us to take her to GMH and get her blood tested for jaundice. After many days in the hospital—blood tests, ultrasounds, a CT scan, and an MRI scan—doctors found a tumor in her pancreas and it is causing blockage in her liver.She has been under the amazing care of Dr.Agyeman, Dr.Berg, and Dr.Shay; as advised by them it is in Kaiah's best interest that she's to be flown overseas to be seen at Rady's Children's Hospital in San Diego, California. There, she will have all the best medical equipment available, alongside some of the best Pediatric Surgeons. Kaiah just turned 8 and is very loving and caring. Since she was a baby, she would always smile and laugh; our little bundle of joy. She deserves more in this life and any help from our community would be greatly appreciated.We would love to see her live her best possible life and we will be there to guide her along the way. She has been so brave throughout this process and we are holding fast and keeping strong for her.We understand that after a natural disaster, we are all going through hardships, but please, any donation and prayers are greatly appreciated by our family.Dangkulu na si yu'us ma'ase!
