Medical fundraiser for Kal Burghart

Hi, my name is Elise Thompson and I am trying to help raise money for my dear friend’s baby boy, Kal Burghart.

Kal was recently found to have critically abnormal electrolyte levels and was flown to Sanford Hospital in Fargo. While in Fargo, Kal had many blood tests done and it was discovered that his level of IgG (a type of antibody that helps fight infections) is non-detectable. This puts him at high risk of becoming very ill. He has been started on Intravenous Immunoglobulins or “lVIG” treatment in an attempt to replace his IgG antibodies. He will do IVIG treatments monthly upon discharge from Sanford in Fargo and will undergo more testing to help determine the cause of his absent IgG antibodies.
