Dear Friends,
It's been a strange year on planet Earth/PachaMama. We are wishing calm, safety, and good health for all of you!
For teacher and lineage holder Marie Luna, this year has brought some health challenges.
We hope to help her with bills related to her healing, so that she can fully participate in doing what she loves to do: helping all of us navigate the inward and outward journeys that have been presented to us at this time in the Pachakuti, with the circles of friends.
She is already on the mend, after finally getting a diagnosis in June of 2020. Eighteen months after symptoms appeared due to a series of traumas and stressors---a perfect storm that threw her normally strong system off course---she is feeling fortunate to have top-notch practitioners and Master Plants on her side! Through the good graces of the Plant Medicines from the Amazon, Chinese Medicine lineages, and Western Herbalism, she is slowly achieving balance with her endocrine system. Pursuing holistic healing takes a lot of focus, logistical support, and funds. Most practitioners are long distances from her very rural home at our peaceful retreat center.
Marie has insurance for the allopathic portion of her care. She has a great General Practitioner and a Thyroid Specialist Internist to help monitor progress through regular testing. Surgery or radiation have been recommended; she is hoping to completely avoid that by bringing her system back into balance with time-tested ancient wisdom and practices.
She is fortunate to have the brilliant mind of her Chinese Medicine Doctor to help her with herbal medicine and other healing modalities, her wonderful local acupuncturist for home support, her yoga teachers, the help of a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine for body adjustments, and a clinic of Functional Medicine Doctors in another state contributing to relief from the intense pain bouts. These are not covered by insurance.
Estimates are that it will take another year for her system to achieve ultimate balance. The travel for clinic visits, the prescriptions, and the herbal formulas and supplementation will continue for at least another year in order to make certain that healing and balance has been achieved.
Like many folks, she has had to cut down on work while healing, and while the world finds its way to balance with the Earth changes that are presenting themselves. We hope to help her with bills related to her healing, so that she can fully participate in doing what she loves to do: helping all of us navigate the inward and outward journeys that have been presented to us at this time in the deep space of the Kallari, the circles of friends.
