Medical funds (and maybe a little Disney) for Alex

If you're reading this, you've probably been impacted by Alex at some point in your life.  Whether as a coworker, friend, family member or even as a patient, Alex's unique personality and enthusiasm inspires us all.

Now that he's dealing with a major medical illness, he's approaching it with similar humor and good spirit.  A few weeks ago while at work, Alex had a seizure while in a patient's room.  After an extensive work up, it was found that he had a brain tumor.  Alex has now had further tests and imaging, as well as input from the best neurosurgeons in Rochester, and he is planning on having a biopsy with likely further treatment after that.

Not only is Alex an outstanding nurse on 7800 at Rochester General, but he's also working on getting his Nurse Practitioner license while teaching nursing students.  And he's engaged!  Needless to say, money is not abundant.  

Let's change that.

Our goal is to raise over $10,000 within the next month, which will go towards Alex's medical bills (and that damn high deductible health plan!).  Any extra money may eventually go towards that awesome Disney vacation he is absolutely going on, once his medical issues have settled down.
