Ken Chacon Cancer Treatment Funds

Nearly three months ago my father started experiencing pain in his upper jaw. After a series of tests, the doctors discovered a malignant tumor. The tumor has invaded the bone in his mouth. Due to the aggressive nature of this tumor, this is classified as stage 4 oral cancer. He is scheduled for a 12 hour surgery on June 22nd to have the tumor removed. In addition, they will be taking a bone from his leg to reconstruct the roof of his mouth.

If you know my father, you know he’s a hard-working self-employed individual. Despite his willingness, we are unsure when he will be able to return to work post surgery and throughout his radiation treatment while recovering. He is scheduled to be in the hospital for 10 days after surgery, followed by seven weeks (daily) of radiation treatment and several months afterwards of healing, physical and speech therapy. We are looking for donations to help my parents financially through this difficult time. As he is self-employed he will have no income through the duration of treatment. My father has insurance, although it does have a 7,000 deductible that must be met up front first. 

This is a hard time for our family and this news brings many emotions. He is the foundation of our family as a father, husband, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. The man with the answers for it all, and the one that is quick to step up in any situation. He needs our help and positivity. We are all  hopeful for the best outcome.
