Medical & Funeral Expenses: Jose Luis Covarrubias

Our father, José Luis Covarrubias Arias, was born in La Sidra, Colima, Mexico on August 19th, 1955 to his loving parents Francisco Covarrubias Pulido and Camerina Arias Mitchel. He is one of 13 children.

He met our mother and married in 1982. Shortly after their eldest son, Alan, was born they moved to the United States. Although they had the intention to return to Mexico, they had three more children Corina, Luis, and David and made a beautiful life for themselves in the U.S. They lived in King City, CA, Connell, WA and Kennewick, WA.

As a young man, he loved playing soccer, swimming for crawfish, and celebrating life (he was the life of the party). Part of his pass times were fishing, gardening, grilling, cooking, watching soccer, watching boxing matches, working on cars, and most importantly spending time with his grandchildren and family.

He was an amazing father, grandfather, brother, son, father-in-law, husband, and friend!! And while he was known for his cooking and his amazing sense of humor, he was mostly known as a noble man with a big heart!!

He was a very courageous, strong man. He fought a very tough battle to be with his family until June 28, 2023 after his body could no longer keep up with his spirit.

We will lay our dad to rest eternally and we would love to celebrate his life with all of those who can join us.

We will have a home viewing on Friday, July 14th at 5pm.

Church Service on Saturday, July 15th at 11am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church

Burial service after church at Riverview Heights Cemetery at 1200 S. Olympia St. in Kennewick.

Nuestro padre, José Luis Covarrubias Arias, nació en La Sidra, Colima, Mexico el 19 de agosto del 1955 de su amados padres Francisco Covarrubias Pulido y Camerina Arias Mitchel. Él es uno de 13 hijos.

Conoció a nuestras madre y se casaron en 1982. Un tiempo después que nació su hijo el mayor, Alan, se vieron a vivir a los Estados Unidos. Aunque tuvieron la intención de regresarse a Mexico, tuvieron 3 hijos más Corina, Luis, y David e hicieron una linda vida aquí en los EE.UU. Vivieron en King City, CA, Connell, WA, y Kennewick, WA.

De joven le gustaba jugar fútbol, pescar chácales, y celebrar la vida (era de ambiente). Algunos de sus pasa tiempos era pescar, la jardinería, cocinar, ver el fútbol y el boxeo, la mecánica, y mas importante convivir con sus nietos y familia.

Fue un gran padre, abuelo, hermano, hijo, suegro, esposo, y amigo. Aunque fue conocido por ser buen cocinero y por su increíble sentido del humor, fue más conocido por ser un hombre noble de gran corazón!!

Era un hombre muy valiente y fuerte. Luchó una batalla muy difícil por quedarse con su familia hasta el 28 de junio del 2023 después de que su cuerpo no pudo seguir el ritmo de su alma.

Vamos a darle eterno descanso a nuestro padres y no alegraría que puedan celebrar con nosotros todos los que puedan acompañarnos.

Lo vamos a velar en casa el viernes 14 de julio a las 5 de la tarde.

La misa será el sábado 15 de julio a las 11 de la mañana en la iglesia
