Medical Help For My Father's Kidney Transplant

My name is Hardy Wang. My father, Rui Wang, is a caring man full of heart. As a former police officer, he has connected with every family he served in his community. He was the sole sponsor of a child for over 11 years whose parents were diagnosed with schizophrenia. Since 2021, he has been struggling with life-threatening kidney issues and can no longer support the child he has been sponsoring. Given my father's everlasting impact on his community, I suggested he reach out to ask the community and friends for help. Still, he refuses, saying, “every family is fighting for their own lives, especially during this unprecedented pandemic. Let’s not bring more trouble to the families”.

In May 2021, my father fell ill with what was diagnosed as kidney failure. According to doctors, his kidneys have declined from 40% to 25% of their capacity within one year. My father is fighting peritonitis (an infection in his abdominal organs), and he’s now on hemodialysis. He’s been told the only thing that can save his life is a kidney transplant. I know it’s been challenging for everyone since COVID started. Still, I’m asking for assistance to help my father get a kidney transplant, which along with hospital visits needed after surgery, are expected to cost nearly $250,000. Due to his Kidney conditions and current situation with COVID, I’m not allowed to travel to visit him in person. I purchased a dialysis machine and have been helping him with his medical bills. However, I’m unable to come up with the amount of money alone, so I’ve turned to this avenue as a final means to save the life of a man who has worked to bring healing and provisions to other families. Even one dollar will make a difference, and I would be eternally grateful.
