Medical, home and farm expenses for Todd Buttman
Donation protected
My name is Lori McManus and I am fundraising for my long time friend Colleen Cheechalk and her husband Todd Buttman.
Colleen and Todd are both very generous and giving people who have given to their community for many years.
They both work very hard running their home and farm. It became necessary years ago for Colleen to do whatever work she could from home due to her chronic health issues. Todd has been the one who works outside the farm and also does all the physical labor on it.
Colleen and Todd have had their share of difficulties over the years however life has thrown them their most dire circumstances at this point in time.
Todd fell ill at the end of 2022 and was discovered to have intestinal cancer for which he underwent surgery. The recovery was long. He was finally well enough to return to work this past spring however it did not last very long.
Todd became quite ill within a week of returning to work and was admitted to the hospital. He was diagnosed with Lupus and was found to be in kidney failure.
Since his diagnosis he has been in and out of the hospital. He was found to have liver failure as well during his last admission. He was weak but doing well last time he went home. However a few days ago he started retaining fluid and was severely weak. He was taken be ambulance to the hospital today.
Unfortunately the Lupus is now attacking his heart as well. He is experiencing multiple organ failure and is in a fight for his life.
Todd will most likely never be able to return to work. He needs extensive medical care. Colleen is his primary care giver. She also helps her elderly mother.
The funds from this can be used for the ever increasing bills for Todd’s medical care as well as household and farm expenses.
Please open your hearts to Colleen and Todd. Your donations will be most appreciated.
