Medical Leave - April Treona Lancaster (Herbalist)

I'm April Treona Lancaster, your community herbalist. I wear many hats – a wife, mother, shop owner, and advocate for our community.

Unfortunately, I recently discovered I need surgery within two weeks to treat an infection stemming from a previous surgery two years ago.

My husband and I are both self-employed, and while I managed to cover over four weeks of lost work last year, our situation has changed.

The recovery time is estimated at two to six weeks, meaning I won't be able to work my usual hours, which can vary significantly, with some weeks reaching $2,000 in income.
