Use of Funds - Update

Transport for Ad to go back to Slovakia is going to cost us a minimum of $40,000 AUD with a medical escort. In addition to this we have other flights, living costs and various other expenses that are being incurred due to the nature of the situation.

All funds will go towards covering these costs.

Overview

During a visit to see his grandchildren in Australia, Ad de Bruin was diagnosed with stage 4 glioblastoma, an extremely aggressive tumor in the brain. As a result he has had to have an emergency lobectomy for a partial resection of the mass. Sadly, the prognosis is that the rest of the remaining tumor is not operable and any medical treatments are so far falling short. We are continuing to look for other solutions, going through difficult decisions on where and how to continue to care for him.

As you can imagine this is also coming at a significant financial cost to our family and we are therefore reaching out to others and their generosity to cover medical, travel, living, and numerous other costs that have been and are being incurred as a result of the situation. We therefore ask, if you are able to do so, to please donate and support Ad and the entire family.

Ad has for years given his life in the pursuit of helping others in Africa, Slovakia, and many other countries accross the world, often at great cost and sacrifice. We continue to believe that his mission is not yet over and as a family of faith that has seen God do the impossible we will not give up on the hope of full restoration.
