Medical - living expenses for Linda Pickett

Hello...my name is Rose Harvey, and I'm reaching out for my sister, Linda Pickett. To know my sister is to know extreme kindness and her giving nature to EVERYONE she knows and meets. I'm hoping that those who have benefitted from her generosity will now, in turn, offer her some assistance.

Her medical issues began years ago when she was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She faced that struggle and overcame that battle with radiation treatments. However, those treatments have caught up with her and caused significant issues with her kidneys, bladder, and other internal organs. She has had multiple procedures (nephrostomy tubes) over the last 2 years which allows her to try and continue an independent lifestyle but requires continued surgeries to replace those necessary tubes. While these tubes have been somewhat helpful, her condition has worsened, and the scar tissue build-up now requires a more dangerous surgery to remove her bladder and assess the damage to her intestines.

Linda works as an instructional aide and will need to be off work for an extended period of time. In addition, this surgery must take place in Columbus and will require additional funding for her disabled husband to be with her.
