Medical Mission Trip to Laos!

Hi! My name is Emily. I am a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) volunteering with Operation International (OI). This March, I’ll be joining Operation International Team New York on a mission to Laos, where we will provide maxillofacial, general, thoracic, and gynecological surgeries to underserved communities. This marks the largest project ever undertaken by a foreign NGO in the region, in collaboration with Champasak Provincial Hospital.
Having previously volunteered on a medical mission to Ghana, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that surgical outreach has on communities with limited access to care. OI’s work breaks down healthcare barriers by providing free surgical care and medical education in underserved areas, and I’m honored to be part of this effort.
