Medical Mission Trip-Phillipines

Callan and I have been called to join a Medical Mission Trip to the Philippines with my dad, and several members of our family and their church group.  This mission will take place in March of 2017.  We have prayed about it a lot and have decided that it is definitely something that we feel passionate about and want to participate in.  We will be joining a team of physicians, dentists, nurses, auxiliaries, and volunteers, to conduct medical/dental clinics and outreach to minister where this type of care is not so easily available. 
 
We need your support.  First and foremost we need your prayer support.  We pray for spiritual guidance throughout this entire process and need your help in asking for that.  We also pray for the people we will encounter throughout some of these very rural areas of the Philippines, that the Holy Spirit will capture their hearts and minds and experience God's love through our service.
 
We also need support financially.  As team members, Callan and I both have the obligation to raise $2500 each, in order to cover the costs of travel and housing, as well as some medical supplies and other materials to support our mission and service to the people in the Philippines.  In 2013, several parts of this country were devastated by a Category 5 typhoon, and the poverty stricken aftermath continues to be prevalent in many areas.  We will help and encounter children, adults, and families that do not receive the kind of care that we have readily available here in the United States.

Some of you, may also receive letters asking for prayer and financial support.  I apologize in advance for any duplicate requests.  I am just trying to get the word out and follow the guidance of God as best I can.
