Medical Mission Work in Costa Rica

Recently, I was accepted into a Medical Mission Program, through a nonprofit organization named, Vida Volunteer (EIN: 39-2077094).

I am asking you to consider sponsoring me on my unpaid medical mission opportunity. The cost is $2,500 to attend this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Any donations are appreciated!

While in Costa Rica, I will be providing medical care free to patients through Vida. Vida promotes health by connecting the efforts of communities, students and local healthcare systems. I will be joining a team of students and local physicians in Costa Rica and together, we hope to provide healthcare to several underserved communities, where most individuals bring home as little as $2 a day. I will also learn first-hand about Central American culture, participate in home-stays and in cultural activities that will help me broaden my global perspective. I am very grateful for the opportunity to give back and make a difference; however, I will have to cover medical supplies for the underserved communities and my travel expenses which will be approximately USD $3,000.
