On January 25,2022, I Denise Lambert 50 y/o AA/Italian mother, daughter, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt cousin, niece and caring nurse attended my sister-in-law repast at Sweetz Bar & Grill located 4167 183rd st Country Club Hills,Il. An altercation with unknown assailants erupted and gunshots were fired, I was shot in the back of my left shoulder which resulted in A 2 part humerus fracture, fragment ended its location in my left breast. I was transferred to Christ Hospital! Im blessed, thankful and grateful to be alive and given another chance at this thing called life and that the bullet missed my arteries and organs but I remain shattered and broken without the use of my left arm, slowly but surely with a lot of pain meds and a long road of therapy I’m getting better. March 4, 2022 the bullet fragment was removed from my left breast. The pain was excruciating. I have been to several trauma clinic appointments, suffered infections and prescribed several medications, emergency room for pain etc. I’m left traumatized and temporarily disabled. I have been a nurse for 19 years with the last 3 being in memory care in which I miss my residents dearly. The mayor of Country Club Hills or a member from his office nor a representative from Sweetz bar and grill has reached out to me to wish me well or give their regards. Detectives tells me it’s an ongoing investigation but somehow I don’t feel that way. I have trained family members on wound care and dressing changes . I’m in constant pain with my shoulder and will be glad to return to my normal. Even through my storm because I have hidden it I still help others. I’m very thankful for my real friends and family and their support, flowers, food etc. I have ongoing medical bills and co-pays for my visits. I will be greatly appreciative of any and all donations. I love you guys ❤️
