Medical & Rehab Assistance for Jordon Foss
Donation protected
We are the parents of Jordon Foss. He was in a terrible motorcycle accident on December 14, 2020. He was Life Flighted to a Trauma Center in Central Florida. When he arrived at the Trauma Center, he had a brain bleed, skull fracture around his right eye socket, two punctured/collapsed lungs, several broken ribs, fractured vertebrae’s C6-C7, and he was put on a ventilator/trache in ICU. When we arrived at the Trauma Center we were told that he had a traumatic brain injury and that he was paralyzed. He spent three weeks in ICU. We were lucky that he was able to be taken off the ventilator at that time, and was able to breathe on his own. He was moved from the ICU to a progressive room, where they discovered he had pneumonia. Once out of ICU, he was able to recognize us but had lapses in recognition and memory. At that time, doctors let us know that he may not fully recover from his brain injury, and let us know he is considered a quadriplegic. As of now, he has no feeling from his armpits down, no use of his right arm/hand, but is able to move his left arm and hand slightly. At this time, he is stable and ready for therapy. Jordon had no medical insurance and is waiting for his Medicaid approval. Doctors say he will need months to years of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy. Because he has no insurance, they are unable to find a rehab facility that will accept him. This has been hard on all of us as we had to leave the hospital to go back to work. We are currently asking for help to raise money to get Jordon out of the Trauma Center and into a Rehab Facility. The sooner he can get to rehab, the better his prognosis. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please take a moment to share so we can get Jordon on the road to recovery!
