Hello guys! My name is Kileigh I am Lucas’s older sister. My little brother is 15 years old and was in a freak snowboarding accident on a Tuesday January 9th at home. Upon reaching the UIHC it was determined he had hyperthermia, frostbite, and a broken neck. Lucas has had a neck surgery they fused disk 3,4 and 5 together. As of right now, it is a 50/50 chance of him regaining the ability to walk again.

Lucas and my entire family would like to thank everyone so much for the support, and reaching out to us and praying for him and our family. My family would like to thank the Anamosa Police Department, fire department and paramedics that responded and helped with Lucas.

Mom and dad have not left his side have been up at the hospital with him since everything happened! Our older brother and I are both coming in and out as much as we can!
