Constant battle for our Landon with brain cancer

Hello, I'm Scott Gillespie, Landon's dad, and Gladys Mears, Landon's mom. We're reaching out for support as Landon has been diagnosed with brain cancer (ependymoma) that has grown from his brainstem. Despite receiving radiation treatment, there remains a 2% growth on his brainstem that couldn't be removed. This diagnosis has drastically changed our lives.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of many people, we were able to purchase machines to bring home. Landon now relies on a feeding tube (NG tube) for his nutrition, requiring 5 feeds a day, with 1 bottle per feed (Peptamen Junior 1.5). The cost for 24 bottles is $550, and the bags the feed goes in are 1-day use bags, with 11 bags costing $330. Additionally, Landon has a tracheostomy which was recently downsized, requiring us to purchase new ones and suction catheters as the ones we previously had do not fit the smaller trach.

As a family of six, we are doing our very best to care for Landon. I, Scott, am his 24/7 caregiver/nurse, unable to work due to being trained for his specialized needs, and nursing options in our area are limited. Gladys is working full time to manage our household bills, food, and clothes for the family.
