Medical Supplies - Sri Lanka

As you know, Sri Lanka is currently facing its worst economic crisis and the population is suffering as the government is incapable of providing essential needs to maintain their livelihood. Medicine and medical supplies are extremely in need among many other essential items that the country is running out of. Our community has received donation requests from Sri Lankan hospitals. The SLAS Board of directors has carefully considered the requests based on urgency, impact, credibility, and transparency, and decided to raise funds to support the Lady Ridgeway children’s hospital to purchase medicine and medical supplies. (Please find the attached letter from Dr. G. Wijesuriya, director of Lady Ridgeway hospital, and 3 additional attachments from suppliers for lists of medicine and medical supplies that the hospital desperately needs). We believe that this is a great cause to contribute as a community to support our country. Through a trusted connection SLAS will make arrangements with an executive officer at the Commercial Bank, Colombo to purchase medical supplies and then have them delivered to Lady Ridgeway children's hospital on behalf of the Sri Lankan community in Saskatoon.
