Mary Davis,
The best Mother, Wife, Sister, Nana, Aunt, Cousin and friend to many: has Stage 4 Melanoma. Many of you already know her battle due to us sharing her journey.
This journey started last December, and she’s been blessed with exceptional care at the Mayo. But despite the Mayo’s best efforts: it’s spreading.
The most recent PET scan shows in her lymph nodes in both groins, and has spread to many different areas of bones: including Femur, hip, pelvic, breast/ chest bones, humerus.
This is causing her lots of pain. But she’s still pushing through.
The next step is a challenging one. My mom has opted to expand her care and travel MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. This is the #1 cancer center in the US. If Mary Davis wants to seek care there, then we must find the means. Plans are still in the works, but she hopes to be there by December! There are so many unknowns...
Can they help her?

When will all this take place?

We have all been helping as much as we can with grocery shopping, meals and cleaning her house. Basically trying to keep her home SAFE!
She hasn’t asked for a single dime, but we know the Mayo has cost her thousands of dollars in bills already, and Houston will create more bills. We; as her loved ones understand this is a extremely difficult time financially for many, BUT if you know Mary Davis (even a little) you know she has spent her lifetime devoted to ALWAYS helping anyone she can. Her own needs always come last, always!
