Medical support for Tahir Aziz

Hi, I am Tariq Aziz from Toronto. My brother Tahir Aziz, 42 year old, recently found out about having a suspicious mass in his chest and underwent a biopsy which didn't yield any results. According to the radiologist opinion, the differentials include germ-cell tumor, thymoma and lymphoma. The lesion is 5.5 x 7.3 x 5.6 cm in size is exerting mass effect on surrounding structures. He has to go for a repeat biopsy preferably via VATS and would require further tests and treatment. All these appointments, investigations and treatments are very expensive and can only be conducted in specialized centres / hospitals.

We are trying to arrange whatever we can but we need support in order to get him diagnosed at earliest and started on treatment which can be anything from surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy or a combination of these.

We would also appreciate any references in Shifa hospital Islamabad for any kind of support or assistance.

Update: in his last appointment with the VATS surgeon, he was told about the plan to follow. He needs an Echocardiography and Pulmonary Function Tests to be done to assess his heart and lung function, and then admitted for further tests followed by removal of the mass (if resectable) and pulmonary lobectomy.
