Medical Support for Veteran Jeff Garcia & Family

My name is Lindsay Woznick (née Holguin) and I am starting a fundraiser for Jeff Garcia and his family. The Garcia's have been lifelong friends with my family. We've always considered and called them family. Additionally, Jeff was also my mother's work colleague for many years.

Jeff Garcia is a veteran who has a great love for God, family, and country. After spending 4 years as a Marine Crew Chief, he worked for the CDFA for 8 years. Jeff, along with his family, started the business JW Paintball Armory in Indio, CA. After 21 years in business, he decided to retire and has spent the last 10 years as an inspector for the USDA.

The Garcia family has dealt with unbelievable hardships the past few years. Alongside Jeff’s cancer diagnosis, his daughter, Andrea, passed away from COVID in 2021 while working as a CNA in the Valley. Lydia, Jeff's wife, is on disability due to her battle with M.S. & Ryan, Jeff’s only surviving child, works full time and takes care of both Jeff and Lydia.

Jeff's health has taken a turn for the worse. He has cancer that has metastasized to his liver, bladder, and bones. His doctors have ordered him to stop working and he has in-home care that comes weekly. However, due to him being a government worker, he does not qualify for state disability.

We are asking for donations to help with Jeff's medical expenses, the family's everyday expenses and possibly, end of life care for Jeff. Prayers are also appreciated.
