Medical travel expenses for Cody Weatherly

Hello, my name is Joni and I’m the cousin of Whitney Weatherly. Her husband Cody has been sick since January and over the months, he has been in and out of the hospital waiting for doctors to figure out what was causing his symptoms. After many test and biopsies, (more than they can count), doctors have came to the conclusion that he has hemochromatosis and has had it mostly likely his entire life. This is a rare condition with fewer than 200,000 cases per year. It's where his liver retains too much iron that has now caused irreversible damage therefore, he is needing a liver transplant. He was accepted on the UAMS Organ Transplant Program. In just these few short months, his health has turned for the worst. With his liver in the condition that it is now, it has caused his kidney functions to start to decline. If his numbers continue to elevate, he could possibly have a double (liver & kidney) transplant. After his transplant, they will have to stay in Little Rock for at least a month. All while awaiting for a compatible liver, they're having to drive weekly to Little Rock to have a paracentesis done, this procedure is used to remove fluid from the peritoneal cavity. Any donations will greatly be appreciated and be used to help with travel expenses and cost of living once he has the transplant/s.
