Medical Treatment for 9 year old Djounika Lombrage

Djounika is 9 years old and lives in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, with her mother Martine Abilhomme. In January 2020, Djounika’s mother noticed a dark colored, foul oder discharge falling down Djounika’s legs. After further inspection, the mother notice that the discharge was coming from Djounika’s rectum.

On June 8, 2020, Djounika was taken to see a doctor in Haiti, and after a computerized tomography (CT) scan was performed, it was revealed that Djounika has a small tumor inside her rectum, which will require surgery.

The family is very poor and does not have the financial means to get adequate medical services for Djounika.

Djounika was forced to wear adult sanitary napkins to capture the discharged fluid when traveling to school.  

The family wishes to travel to the Dominican Republic, to seek the necessary medical treatment for Djounika. In order for that to happen, Djounika and her mother will need to obtain a Visa.

All of the donations received will cover Visa documentation fees, transportation, hospital and medication cost.
