Medway Skylarks STBP Neurology Singing Therapy

I am Co-founder and Treasurer of Medway Neurological Network (MNN) and I am raising funds for Medway Skylarks, which is a fun, singing and rhythmic movement group for people with a neurological condition.  Sessions are an evidence-based 'Sing to Beat Parkinson's' (STBP) therapy developed by Canterbury Cantata Trust.  The money will be used mainly to pay for the trained STBP practitioners who lead the sessions. Medway Skylarks is run by the Community Support Group 'Medway Neurological Network' in association with Canterbury Cantata Trust and Music4Wellbeing.

The target sum of £2,500 is the amount of money needed to fund Medway Skylarks for 1 year.

Medway Neurological Network is an umbrella Community Support Group, established in 2016, for the neurological charities and support groups, currently numbering x13, in Medway.  It is a Medway Voluntary Action 'Quality Assured Provider' of services.  The Aim is to be the voice of those affected by neurological conditions in Medway - a single point of access for health and social care service providers.  Apart from Medway Skylarks, MNN also: organises Neuro-cafes to reduce isolation and to provide information; campaigns to defend and improve the quality of health and social care services and also on disability issues; and has organised a Neuro-Fair on 24 March 2018 and a Neuro-Arts Festival on 20 & 21 July 2019.
