Meecham Harper wedding

As you know my little brother was diagnosed with grade 4 brain cancer last Christmas which has devastated our family including his wonderful partner Becca. They have had a truly difficult few months including multiple surgeries, daily radiotherapy in Bristol and Darren is still fighting the meningitis infection he suffered during one of his recent surgeries. Darren has glioblastoma tumour, which unfortunately is a very serious and aggressive cancer.

Darren and Becca have been pretty much inseparable since they met. They live with my parents in Horner and I’ve often heard my mum saying how she always hears them laughing and joking together. They truly are best friends, so it was no surprise to us when the couple expressed their hope to get married this year.

Becca hasn’t left Darrens side once since his diagnosis and due to COVID has cared for Darren mostly on her own. From the bottom of my heart I am eternally grateful to her for taking such care of my little brother. Neither of them have been able to work since the diagnosis last year so the truth of the matter is they need a little help to make their dream come true.
