Meerkat Mission-to rehabilitate and rewild ex pet meerkats

At Solid Earth Sanctuary, Alma and Wessel Stafford have poured their hearts into rehabilitating and rewilding meerkats rescued from the exotic pet trade. Many of these animals were saved in poor health, with no concept of how to be a wild animal. This work comes with immeasurable challenges. Beyond the emotional toll of rehabilitating animals deeply impacted by improper diet and life in captivity, there are staggering monthly costs for medical care, specialised diets and transport. Alma and Wessel are relentless in their dedication, but they can't do it alone. Your support can make the difference between a short life in a living room, and freedom in the wild.
