Meet baby Gannon, pre mature born at 33weeks
Donation protected
Hey everyone, as many of you know, Bailey and jesse streit were blessed with another beautiful baby boy. Bailey had an emergency c-section April 1st, not the April fools they wanted. This was all but a truly big scare. Bailey had found out she had preeclampsia with severe features and side effects. The goal was to try and keep him in for another week while she was flown to Wichita a few days before, but her body had a different Idea. Gannon Ray Dexter was born at 8:59pm weighing at 4lbs 15oz and 18 inches long. He is a beautiful baby boy! After he was born he was diagnosed with respiratory distress syndrome and had to be intubated and given surfactant to expand his lungs. They couldn’t hold him because it causes too much stimulation when his little body needed to rest so that his lungs could function properly. Daily, Gannon got stronger, finally on April 5th they got to hold and touch their sweet bundle of joy. Every day gets better, He’s off all respiratory support as of right now we still have a NG tube because he’s not taking 100% of his feeding by mouth. Doctors are saying 6.5 more weeks in Wesley until possibly being released.. They have their little boy Holden they still need to take care of also, and miss him dearly. This is very rough on mama, if you know Bailey and her relationship with him you understand the connection a mother and son have. At this time; paid maternity leave is not an option.. so I’m asking you from the bottom of my heart; If you can to please give a little to help them out with gas money driving to and from Wesley in Wichita to their home in Larned ks, bills, food, and time at home with baby Gannon after they get released to come home. Every mama deserves to have time with their babies after they’re born and settled in their homes.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We would appreciate more prayers, and also appreciate the help communities give to people in need when things happen unprepared. Thank you all again….. —Sasha Schultze
