Please Help Megan & Olivia Sawyer Ramsey!

On July 22, 2022, our sweet little Olivia made her grand entrance into this world. Sadly, it wasn’t the entrance mom and dad had prepared for. Due to reasons beyond Megan’s control, the anticipated natural birth ended up in an emergency c-section to save baby Olivia’s life because the umbilical cord had prolapsed. Olivia was without oxygen for 9 minutes. Olivia was also tinier in size than she was projected to be, but she is a mighty fighter!!!

Once she was born, she was prepared to be care flighted by helicopter from Mercy Gilbert Hospital to North Phoenix Children’s Hospital, where she was admitted to NICU. Andrew went to be with Olivia while Megan had to stay behind to heal up from surgery and the severe loss of blood. After three days and several blood transfusions, she regained her strength to be with Andrew and Olivia at the hospital. Olivia was kept in a hypobaric chamber and a medically induced coma throughout that time, giving her body every bit to heal and gain strength. She has been a miracle in motion ever since. Olivia continued monitors, feeding tubes, and IVs for another week when they brought her out of the coma. Gradually she took to mom’s milk and began to gain enough weight that she was able to be discharged to go home. The MRI’s and CT scans show that further appointments with Specialists will be necessary for the future, but PRAISE GOD, she is breathing on her own, alert, and happy at home with her sisters, mom, and dad. The road ahead is bright again, and we want it to remain just that.

The Road ahead also presents itself with an unsurmountable amount of medical bills for Megan and baby Olivia. Andrew has been by their side the entire time; however, it's time for him to return to work as a Correctional Officer. He will be working long hours, leaving Megan at home to keep vigilant with the three children and ensure all is well with Olivia’s future medical care.
