Meet the Warkentin family.
Scott and his wife Meghan live in West Valley, Utah where Scott has worked in the copper mining industry for many years. After months of fatigue and pain, last August, Scott received the difficult news that he has stage 4 bone cancer and malignant Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF-1) tumors throughout his body. In February of this year, he found himself unable to work any longer.
Their 15 year old daughter, Ruby, has also been diagnosed with NF-1 and had surgery in 2019 to remove a tumor from her brain. She will be entering school as a sophomore this fall and hopes to find work at Chick-Fil-A this summer to help ease her family’s financial need. She is a lovely young lady with a beautiful smile and is anxious to do what she can.
Scott’s wife, Meghan is disabled due to mental illness and floating vertebrae. She also suffers from intermittent SVT.
Throughout their marriage, Scott has provided the family’s sole financial support and has always worked hard to provide for their children Quintin and Ruby. He is currently receiving short-term disability income but that isn’t enough. As the price of food, gas, and so many daily needs has increased, they are in danger of losing everything. Today they need financial help to meet their monthly mortgage payments and they are in danger of having their truck repossessed.
Ruby is a daddy’s girl. As she navigates these difficult days, she says that her father, Scott, often cries because it is now too painful for him to hug her.
More than anything, this family longs for your prayers. Any help you are able to provide will give them hope as they live into a very uncertain future.
Thank You!!!
