Meg's Healing Journey through Orthorexia
Friends and community, our beloved Meg needs our help!
After years of quietly working through anorexic and orthorexic behaviors, Meg has courageously spoken up about her need for a comprehensive eating disorder recovery plan.
With support from friends and family, she has created a 6 month plan with specialized care, including therapy, nutritionists, medical doctors, and wellness practitioners. During this intensive time, she will be reducing hours at work to be fully devoted to her own healing- rebuilding her relationship with food, body image beliefs and sustainable support systems.

"I'm having a big healing opportunity right now and finally seeing a lot more of my world than I had been seeing. I'm finally seeing the ways in which I've been sabotaging myself through an eating disorder and some type of orthorexia/anorexia type habit. Noticing I'm at what some would call rock bottom and really hitting it hard. I'm feeling scared and I can't do this by myself anymore. I'm really needing community and support more than I ever have. So it has me asking and pushing down my pride, being more vulnerable and not hiding. There's so much shame wrapped around not being able to handle or control my life and it feels overwhelming. It also feels like my biggest blessing, a big wake up."
A large majority of costs for these services will be out of pocket for Meg, and insurance only covers a small portion. What we're asking from you is to help cover the cost of treatments and some of her living expenses. This will allow Meg to feel fully committed to her recovery and lessen any financial stress that could inhibit her recovery process.

*Mindfulness Therapy -$110/bi-monthly $220/mo
*Eating Disorder Therapist - $110/per week $440/mo
*Doctor’s visits (insurance) $30 co-pay bi-monthly $60/mo
*Group Therapy -$25/week $100/mo
