Mega Roman Fort Research Project

My name is Mark. I am a Welsh (Pembroke)-born and locally raised archaeologist with a passion for the Roman heritage of the county. I studied archaeology at St David's University College, Lampeter (Wales) and then at the University of Oxford (England). I need your help to raise funds to survey and excavate an extra special Roman Fort that I have recently discovered in north Pembrokeshire.
It is a rare discovery in this part of the world and its importance to the cultural heritage of the local community, that of Wales, and is significant to our current understanding of the Romans in this region of Britain. The archaeological site seems to be a well-preserved auxiliary fort built by soldiers attached to the Second Augustan Legion at Caerleon in Gwent. It is preserved in the landscape by a remarkable stroke of luck and has been left largely untouched by farming. The site has all the hallmarks of the classic Roman fort that we learned about in school, taking the form of a 'playing card' with rounded corners, banks and ditches.
There is a lot more to be discovered and many questions to be answered. The fort needs to be studied professionally so that it can be the best possible asset to the local community, its schools, and regional universities in Wales and more widely in Britain.
However, to make this happen I need your help please. I am raising the funds to commission a regional archaeological trust to undertake a survey and trial excavation which will help me do the necessary research to publish these findings.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and helping to make this dream come true!
