Megacolon cat needs help
Donation protected
Hi, i didn’t really want to have to do this but im overwhelmed by the thought of losing my cat morris. He was diagnosed with megacolon sometime last year and has since been put on a special veterinary diet. After a costly manual deobstipation procedure earlier this year the procedure will likely have to be done again soon as he hasn't passed stool in nearly a week even with the aid of enemas. He's an otherwise very healthy cat at only 10 years old and means the world to me but the only other option I have is putting him down as he will just get worse if left untreated and it breaks my heart. Please share if you’re unable to donate as both helps a lot.
Update: After an entire week of medications, enemas, and laxatives, kitty has finally began passing stool last night. His megacolon flare up isn't as dire as it was the first time around and so I'm hopeful he wont need to have the procedure done again after just 8 months, but I'd still like him to be given an x-ray at the vet to make sure he isn't backed up anymore. Even with the donation goal not being met I'm just thankful for everyone's efforts in ensuring my cat will be healthy for the holidays as every dollar counts. I'll be closing this soon within the next day or two, thank you so much again!
