Megan and Calvin IVF Support

They're initiating a round of in vitro fertilization which involves tests, hormone shots, egg retrieval and implantation. The total cost for this treatment will be upwards of $14,000-$17,000.

Megan and Calvin have pursued parenthood with guidance from medical professionals for many years. Unfortunately, these efforts resulted in multiple losses and two emergency surgeries due to ectopic pregnancies. Surgeons had no choice but to remove both fallopian tubes. IVF is the only option of conceiving, and since Megan and Calvin are self-employed with minimal insurance coverage, this effort is emotionally and financially overwhelming.

Megan and Calvin are family to me. When Jesse and I had a newborn and a new puppy, they would take the pup for weekends and playdates to keep her active and let us get a handle on new parenthood. And you may have seen them out and about with Corrina, taking her swimming and shopping and crafting while she adjusts to being a big sister. From nourishing warm meals for exhausted parents when babies are brought home to babysitting during date nights to being part of the proverbial village, Megan and Calvin are there for people for whom they care so deeply.

We're only one of the families who have benefited from their generosity and community-building. I hope people will be supportive of these two in their journey to have their own child. They've given much of their hearts, home and time to the rest of us over the years.
