Megan's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Megan has fought the good fight against covid pneumonia. On January 24th, Megan was rushed to the ER with a blood oxygen level of 42. Within an hour, she was put in a medically induced coma and was put on a ventilator and then a trach ventilator 16 days later. After 3 long scary weeks went by, Megan opened her eyes! Megan has battled her way to get off the ventilator, then fought to get the trach removed, and now she is fighting to get her strength back! Because of the coma, Megan had severe muscle atrophy and could not move a single part of her body when she first woke up. But every day since, she has improved. Just 3 weeks ago, she could only barely touch her nose with her left hand. Now she can walk a short distance with a walker, stand on her own, and get out of bed on her own! Now, after nearly 2 months of rehabilitation, Megan is going home! Although she has made tremendous progress, she still has a long road ahead of her to get back to her new normal. She'll have continued outpatient physical rehab and is not expected to be able to return to work until September.
With that being said, Megan and her mom are going to need some help. As the medical bills begin to come in and the normal monthly bills keep stacking up, it will be hard to manage. Anyone that knows Megan knows she'd do anything to help you if in need. She's so caring and genuine, and she is one strong woman. Any little bit will help take the financial stress off, so the focus can be on her continued recovery!
(Megan has approved this GoFundme and all funds will go directly to her)
