Megan Duckett has Hodgkins Lymphoma

Hi, I am Crystal. My best friend and coworker, Megan, was just diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma 2 weeks ago. Believe me, we didn't expect this result at her biopsy which was, a year prior, was clean.

Megan is a 37 year old mother of 3 beautiful and wonderful children. She's worked as a CNA (nursing assistant) for most of her career and spent those years taking care of others in long term care homes. The diagnosis of Stage 2 Hodgkins Lymphoma was never something any of us thought she'd experience, especially her.

Megan is the nicest, most compassionate and giving woman I've ever met. She has helped others by giving money if they need it, showing up with groceries for people who didn't expect it, covering shifts when someone has something personal going on- all while never complaining or making anyone feel bad. She knows what it means to be a true friend.

As a mother, Megan works HARD to provide not only the essentials for her family (a single income family) she also makes sure her kids have things they want, even if it means working even harder to provide it.

She didn't see this coming. And I'm just asking that during her time through chemotherapy (3 different kinds) and radiation over the next several months, that you help us reach our goal to help Megan and her family be able to make ends meet so she can focus on herself and healing and spending stress free time with her children. Any amount helps this Mama tremendously and will take the stress off even a little bit.

She's my best friend and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She makes people want to live, to change into a better self, to remember that hard times also pass. She's helped me more than I can say.
