Kurt loved so loudly and proudly that he was an example of how to do it right.

It is rare to encounter a person whose pure being, soul and presence are able to impact all around him, leaving a lasting piece of his positive energy with anyone lucky enough meet him.  His spirit and laughter were as big as his smile, his humor and kindness were contagious and he was always there with a compassionate ear and huge hug to soothe the toughest of days. 

He was an often-outrageously generous tipper. He was quick with a smile, and a story, or a joke. Sometimes, but admittedly not always, he was even quick with your drink.

Kurt and Megan lived life to the fullest; they always had room in their heart, at the table and in their home, for anyone, and especially the ones that needed it the most. They radiate energy of genuineness – they truly embodied the idea of human connection that ties us together on a grander level.  Through the restaurant and bar business; hundreds of lives have been touched by Kurt and his partner, Megan.  Their love is an example of what respect, honesty, selflessness and genuine love can be. 

For Megan, Kurt's wife and the love of his life, the process of learning how to live with just the memories of the magical life they shared is just beginning. Friends and loved ones have demonstrated an amazing outreach of support in many ways already. In hard times, even the completely unprecedented global situation we find ourselves in now, we know that it takes a community to get by. We have put together a GoFundMe page to help ease the burden of funeral costs and the stress of the loss of her spouse’s income and allow Megan time and space to grieve.
