Megan Temple's Fight for Life

Donation protected
On July 8th, our family received devastating news that has turned our world upside down.  Our sweet daughter Megan, wife of almost three years to Ashton Temple and mommy to 7-month-old Gracie, was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.

The official diagnosis is a malignant neoplasm that is estrogen receptor positive which has aggressively metastasized to her bones.  What this means is that Megan, Ashton, Gracie and our entire family have a long hard battle ahead and we need your help supporting them.

Megan will begin chemotherapy on Friday, August 7th and while she is extremely positive and ready to fight this with all she has, she and Ashton could really use our help and support.  As many of you know, a fight of this kind comes with a mountain of medical bills and loss of income that few families can afford to bear.  The financial need is overwhelming and due to the aggressive nature of the cancer, we are in a race.

Megan is no longer able to work due to the extreme pain and fragility the cancer in her bones has created.  She cannot lift over 20 pounds which makes taking care of little Gracie very difficult and emotional as a new young mother; not to mention the physical and emotional fatigue that comes with fighting cancer.

As Ashton continues to provide for his family by working nights as a Paramedic with MedStar in Fort Worth, Gracie will need to remain in part-time childcare while Megan receives treatment and seeks rest, making the need for Gracie’s continued part-time childcare a must. Knowing that Gracie is well taken care of will ease so much of this family’s burden.

We are asking everyone to please share Megan's story and if you are able to donate or assist, we greatly appreciate it so that we can help make this challenge even slightly less difficult.  Prayers are also requested and encouraged for strength and comfort for all of us.
