Megan Wertz Memorial and Scholarship

Megan was a beautiful, fun-loving, caring person. She gave the best hugs to her family and friends. She looked out for others and found ways to serve people in the community. Megan was an athlete and participated in many different sports over the years. Megan was excited to start college at New Mexico State in the fall. She was going to enter the Speech and Language Pathology program at State. Megan was looking forward to working with young children. You could always find her around the little cousins and their friends during family events. Many of the kids would call her "My Megan."

Megan was a lifeguard at the city pool and passed away from a tragic accident on Friday, July 15th.

The Wertz family appreciates all the love and support from the Deming Community. We have had an abundance of love from people asking how they can help. We have created this Go Fund Me page for people to give back in remembrance of Megan. The funds will be used as a Memorial and Scholarship to honor Megan.
