Megan’s Fight Against Hodgkin Lymphoma!!
Donation protected
Megan is 22 years old and is fighting Hodgkin
Lymphoma.
Background:
Megan grew up in a small town in Southeastern
Ohio and ever since we can remember she has
LOVED all animals, especially horses! She made it her goal to work with animals someday and she
has done just that. She is working as an attendant
at an animal hospital all while pursuing her Vet
Tech degree...until very recently.
On the Monday before Christmas, Megan noticed a lump that had formed on her shoulder overnight. She was taken to a local hospital and immediately transferred Cleveland Clinic. Megan said that she had been battling fatigue, loss of appetite, and weight loss for awhile. After running some tests, two more large areas were discovered in her chest. Within a few days, she was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin Lymphoma.
In about a month, Megan will be beginning her first round of chemotherapy. She is scheduled to
receive 8 rounds in total which will likely occur
weekly.
Because of this, Megan had to discontinue working and discontinue her schooling with only 1
semester remaining. She could really use any help we are able to give her to cover the cost of medical expenses, treatments, future planning, debt, and assistance WHEN (not if) she starts back to school.
Sometimes a special person comes into your life
that changes you forever. Megan is one of those
people. She is kind and caring, has an amazing
sense of humor (which you have to have in our
family!), and is passionate about her goals.
The fight against cancer goes on. We all know or
have met someone who is fighting or has fought
cancer, and who has battled this terrible illness.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 to help Megan in the
fight against cancer. We ask for your love and
support, whether you know Megan, have met
Megan, know friends of Megan, or have
experienced cancer yourself. This may not be
enough but it is certainly something--- and even if you can give just $20, it’s something. We are
keeping this a surprise from Megan and are hoping to be able to present her with whatever we can give! Thank you all!
