Megan's Fund began in 2006, to honor the legacy of Megan Williams. This site was created as many people have asked if there is any way that they can help!
All money raised will go directly to provide for children in need in Johnson and Marion county.
Our goal is to help as many families in need during the holidays as possible! We would love your help in making this possible : )
Megan Elizabeth Williams’ dream was to change the world. This was clearly stated in a poem Megan wrote, along with her every... day actions. Megan was a 17 year old young lady that lived to help others. Megan was very involved in school and served as the Vice President of Center Grove High Schools Key Club. She loved finding new ways to improve her community. Megan was never seen without a smile and she had a smile that could literally light up a room. She was a great friend, family member, daughter, sister and student at CGHS. On December 17, 2005 Megan was killed in a car accident. This changed the lives of all of those who were close to Megan. Megan was on her way to buy Christmas presents for less fortunate families when she passed away. Megan had very little to work with, but was so determined to,“Make these families have the best Christmas ever,” that she planned to spend her whole paycheck on Christmas presents. Megan changed many peoples’ lives and this year we would like for Megan’s kindness and generosity to live on. We want to Megan to never be forgotten.
Our mission with this fund is to honor Megan Williams, by collecting as many Christmas presents for families in need that we can. Megan’s dream was to change the world, and we think that little by little, we can make that happen-starting with this project. We hope you would like to be a part of our fund and help us ensure that many families have the best Christmas that they can, because of your generous donations.
