Meghan Levins Medical Assistance
Donation protected
What's happened?
Our dear friend and colleague Meghan Levins has been dealing with months of critical illness. This progressed to a trip to the ER and eventually fluid on her lungs, which necessitated intubation for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and multiple organ failure. The doctors think she will most likely need at least one organ transplanted, so she's been transferred to a transplant center for evaluation. She's fighting for her life before evaluation for transplant even begins, and will need lengthy aftercare.
Costs
We're asking for support to cover Meghan's mortgage, utilities, medical costs, and aftercare, as well as the travel and other related expenses of her caregiver, Luke Swanson. Any assistance (through here or otherwise) would first go to immediate and monthly expenses for Meghan to keep her home, in addition to her medical costs, months-long aftercare, and physical therapy. Your time, care, and prayers dedicated to Meghan's healing are all greatly appreciated by both Meghan and Luke.
Visitation
If you want to visit Meghan in the ICU, please reach out to Luke on Facebook. Mask up and sanitize hands before entering the room, Meghan can’t risk getting even an extra sniffle right now. Maximum two visitors in the room at once, infants and small kids should stay out of the room for now. This ICU won’t allow loitering in the hall, so you’ll need to wait in the waiting area outside the ICU if two visitors are already in the room. Please keep things calm and let the nurses do their thing, the amount of machines she’s on makes the room very crowded.
It’s important to show what she means to us and that she is very loved. Our strong support shows her care team we're committed to her and her health. ♥️
