Meghan's Hit and Run Accident Fund

Donation protected
On Saturday night, January 20th, while crossing the street with her friends, 35 year old Meghan Crilly was involved in a tragic hit-and-run accident while crossing North Wood Ave in the area of St. George’s Ave in Linden. The driver fled the scene, leaving Meghan in critical condition. She has had multiple surgeries since she arrived at the hospital, and currently is in a coma. She has spinal damage, a broken pelvis, a broken ankle, and a broken tibia. Meghan's spleen was also removed, her liver was lacerated, and she has internal bleeding. Although her organs are functioning, her road to recovery is uncertain. The doctors have been working relentlessly on her, and her family is taking it one hour at a time.

Meghan has a beautiful spirit and a smile that brightens up any room she walks into. Her bubbly personality, and strong passion for life, is her guiding force. She is a strong minded young woman, who has a way of never letting anything or anyone get her down. She loves her job as an elementary school teacher, and is a guiding light for her students. She always pushes them to be the best versions of themselves.  She was also due to accept an award in appreciation of her work.

Meghan loves spending time with family and friends. She loves to exercise, travel, and most importantly, spend  time with the love of her life, her Husky Louie. Louie is currently being taken care of by her dear friends, who are standing strong by her side. Meghan is a determined person, who always went for what she wanted and succeeded. She has her whole life ahead of her, and we hope and pray she will use her strong will to pull through this. At this time, we all ask all of you to support her in this great time of need.

All funds received will be used to alleviate the financial strain brought on by Meghan's treatments. Any donation, big or small, is deeply and sincerely appreciated. If you are unable to donate, we ask that you please pray for her recovery and share the link to this cause.

We do ask, in respect of the privacy of her parents, not to bombard them with questions or calls. Your thoughts and prayers will be with Meghan and will help her get through this tragic time.

We have made Ann Crilly, Meghan's mother, the beneficiary of this gofundme to help her in any way possible in this time of need.
